Hospital view & visit are best medicine Another example of how sports can bring people together! 16 year-old Jaelyn Kirby watched Rice Baseball’s first win of the season Tuesday from her room on the 23rd floor of Texas Children's Hospital. A day later, the Owls gave her a much better view. ABC13 Houston was the only media outlet inside the hospital when Rice players visited the team’s new “good luck charm”.

Libbie longs to be a coach 16 year-old Libbie, a student at First Baptist Christian Academy Pasadena, is an aspiring coach who diagrams her own plays. She’s also a patient at Shriners Children's because she was born with Arthrogryposis & told she may never be independent. Well, she defying the odds! In fact, she’ll be part of the upcoming East West Shrine Bowl - our nation’s oldest college football all-star game.

Strength through softball: 5 years since Santa Fe Bailey Tisdale is a standout pitcher for the history-making softball team at University of St. Thomas. Five years ago, while she was a student at Santa Fe High School, her grandmother was one of 10 people who lost their lives in a shooting. Super Bowl LII: Wink's winter wonderland Tuesday of Super Bowl LII week, we took a winter road trip to Lakeville, Minnesota. Surrounded by some of the warmest people we've ever encountered in one of the coldest settings we've encountered - we spent nearly 10 hours with the fine folks of Lakeville. The trip included snowmobiles, ice golf, a brewery and even curling lessons from two-time USA Curling Olympic team member Allison Pottinger. Here's our best attempt at summarizing the day in two minutes.
